TOM JOHNSON
Tom Johnson is a seasoned Landscape Architectural Consultant and Landscape Designer with over 20 years of experience. As the founder and director of GRO Designs and the Southwest team, he has a passion for bringing his clients’ aspirations to fruition, regardless of the project’s size.
Tom is highly skilled in all aspects of the profession, including LVIA’s, masterplanning, detail design, project management, and design communication. His expertise is one of the reasons why GRO Designs is a go-to for impressive landscape design projects in the United Kingdom. Tom’s office is located in Ipplepen, and you can always count on him to give you a warm welcome when you visit.
Helen Bonness-Johnson
Helen Bonness-Johnson is a Landscape Designer with a keen eye for perfectionism. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her planting proposals are both successful and beautiful, maintaining year-round interest and colour. Helen studied with the RHS and worked in some of the most stunning national trust gardens across the country.
She recently completed her HND in Landscape Design at the Plymouth Universitie’s Eden Project Campus, making her passion a reality and turning it into a valuable professional qualification. Helen brings her two working cocker spaniels to work, who are the perfect office companions. We are proud to have her on the GRO Designs team, and her valuable input never goes unnoticed.
Elliot Fitzhugh
Elliot Fitzhugh exemplifies unwavering commitment as a Landscape Designer. His flair and passion for his work have made him a valuable member of GRO Designs and the southwest team since joining in 2022. In Elliot’s own words, his work doesn’t feel like work.
He understands design principles and pays attention to the smallest details to create spaces with feeling and atmosphere. Elliot embraces the Southwest lifestyle, catching waves on his board and exploring the gorgeous countryside in his campervan. His love for the great outdoors translates into his designs, offering unique and captivating outdoor spaces to GRO Designs clients.
